Our Story

Baking Project began long before it had a name. My love for baking began in my grandmother's kitchens, where summer holidays were filled with stories, warmth, and the smell of everything sweet in the oven. Those memories, combined with formal training and culinary education refined my craft.

A Gingerbread Paradise in Kochi

Tabitha Kurien's venture, The Baking Project, is an ode to her time spent baking in her grandmother's kitchen.

During holidays, the grandkids would crowd into the kitchen, and her grandmom would let them make whatever they wanted—stir batters and help make snacks.

The Baking Project team today is small and close-knit, offering custom cakes, baked desserts, and holiday specials from their base in Kochi.

A Baking Adventure

Tabitha started off with cupcakes, truffles, and cookies. Now she has moved on to baking macarons.

Through lockdown and a growing interest in French delicacies, demand for choux buns and refined pastries grew.

When you make treats where both flavour and appearance are equally important, she concentrates more on flavour.
